Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Van Barle (ranked 1434 p4p, 2018 weight class) and Ronaldo Gomes (ranked 193 p4p, 266 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronaldo Gomes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like Ronaldo Gomes has been cut.
Van Barle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Van Barle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gomes.
Gomes scores with a crisp jab that stopped Van Barle in his tracks.
A punch lands to the side of Van Barle 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Gomes takes a swing at Van Barle's ribcage but misses.
We've been told by Van Barle's head coaches at Mystic Gym of the Outworld that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Gomes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Van Barle lands a big uppercut and Gomes crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gomes looks OK. Van Barle waves Gomes back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gomes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Van Barle swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Gomes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gomes darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gomes might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Gomes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Van Barle moves away.
Gomes looks to land a right hand but Van Barle moved out of range.

Van Barle cracks Gomes with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gomes looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Van Barle finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Van Barle throws a looping overhand right but Gomes ducks down to avoid it.
Gomes missing with a left hand there. Van Barle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gomes has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Van Barle lands a nice hook to Gomes's body. Gomes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Van Barle scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gomes is aggressively charging in as Van Barle backs up avoiding any damage. Van Barle tosses out a jab and Gomes runs right into it face first! Gomes is out cold! Van Barle dropped down on all fours and is barking in Gomes's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Dillon Van Barle opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
