Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nery shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Nery's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones throws a right hand that Nery ducks under and follows up with a left that Nery also avoids with ease.

Nery scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Jones is trying to control but can't.
Nery wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing Nery from standing up.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nery doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nery manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Nery throws a big right hand that misses.

Nery looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Nery tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jones wants to control from the top but Nery keeps moving.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nery swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Nery controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nery tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Nery is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jones yanks on the arm and Nery is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jones.
