Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gypsy Nirvana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Powers cracks a nice hook into Nirvana's ribs.
Powers lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Nirvana sprawling to the canvas. Powers follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Nirvana hang on?
It looks like Gypsy Nirvana has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nirvana wants to get back to full guard.
Nirvana on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nirvana tries to get out of the position.
Nirvana is breathing heavily.
Nirvana has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Powers is working away from the top position though.

Nirvana is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Powers wants to stand and escape but instead Nirvana has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nirvana loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Nirvana wants to pass the guard but Powers is keeping the position.
Nirvana might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Powers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Nirvana looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Nirvana changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Powers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Powers tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Powers tries to hold on but Nirvana postures up.
Nirvana lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Powers hang on?

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Powers looks to land a body kick but Nirvana moved away.
Powers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nirvana.
Nirvana shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Powers throws the left hand but Nirvana avoids the punch easily.
Nirvana takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Powers fails to land with a series of punches.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Gypsy Nirvana just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Nirvana looks for a takedown but Powers sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nirvana.

Powers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Nirvana shoots for a takedown but Powers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Powers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nirvana but Nirvana pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Powers tries to bum rush Nirvana with a series of wild strikes but Nirvana uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nirvana shoots for a double leg takedown but Powers sprawls well. He's pushed Nirvana's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nirvana shoots in but no luck this time.
Powers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nirvana circles away quickly and effectively.
Powers throws a leg kick that misses.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nirvana.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
