Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bong (ranked 4345 p4p, 4185 weight class) and Daniel Cormier (ranked 155 p4p, 492 weight class). Cormier has chosen Face the Pain as his entrance music. Cormier has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Cormier!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Daniel Cormier has been cut.
Cormier loads up on a big right hand but Bong slips the punch.
Bong tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cormier manages to circle out of the way.
Cormier blocks the body kick.
Bong avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bong shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bong wants to stand but Cormier has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cormier manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cormier working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Cormier cracks Bong with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Cormier immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bong is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Cormier!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Cormier!
A very excited looking Daniel Cormier rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
