The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furioto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnes pinned against the cage. Barnes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Furioto's coach down at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Furioto's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Furioto is working for takedown but Barnes is calmly controlling the position for now.

Furioto is trying to drag Barnes to the mat but Barnes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
