Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bjj Ace (ranked 4318 p4p, 3562 weight class) and Penn Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn Hart will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bjj Ace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Penn Hart! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ace blocks a head kick by Hart.
Ace tries to counter with a takedown but Hart is quick to defend against it. Hart scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ace closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hart circles away. Hart stuffs the takedown. Hart with a nice cross.
It looks like Bjj Ace has been cut. Left hook, right uppercut from Hart. Hart shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ace eats them both and turns towards Hart to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Ace takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ace shoots in for a takedown but Hart shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Ace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hart swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ace dives in and scores a takedown into Hart's guard. Hart has control of Ace's left arm, preventing Ace from doing any damage. Ace sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ace postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hart is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ace, into his guard. Hart trying to control the position from guard on top but Ace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ace pulls Hart in close to his closed guard and prevents Hart from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ace looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ace pushes a forearm under Hart's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hart is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bjj Ace!
