Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Stone (ranked 3350 p4p, 1155 weight class) and Bobby Bomstaerk (ranked 314 p4p, 131 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brett Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Bomstaerk! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bomstaerk works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Stone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bomstaerk circles away. Bomstaerk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stone seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Bomstaerk looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bomstaerk trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bomstaerk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stone keeping moving, preventing Bomstaerk from controlling successfully. Stone wants to get back to his feet but Bomstaerk is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stone on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stone tries to get out of the position. Stone is trying to keep Bomstaerk in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bomstaerk scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Bomstaerk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bomstaerk stays in close to Stone's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone keeping moving, preventing Bomstaerk from controlling successfully. Bomstaerk with a nice head shot there. Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bomstaerk stands up over Stone, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Bomstaerk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Bomstaerk lands a couple of decent looking shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bomstaerk chips away with some ground and pound. Stone has momentary wrist control but Bomstaerk slips an elbow through the middle. Bomstaerk passes easily into side control. Nice work. Stone is not content to let Bomstaerk control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone is trying to improve his position. Bomstaerk wants to control but Stone is keeping him busy. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stone pushes Bomstaerk away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bomstaerk gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Bomstaerk is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bomstaerk is chipping away with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone tries to escape but Bomstaerk is in control. Bomstaerk trying to control the action but Stone is working from the bottom. Bomstaerk cracks Stone with a big elbow. Bomstaerk connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Stone some visible discomfort.
Stone can't do much from the bottom here. Bomstaerk has knee on belly momentarily but Stone bucks him off and regains half guard. Bomstaerk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bomstaerk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stone works his way to full guard. Good work. Bomstaerk is pushing down on Stone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stone is fighting to maintain full guard but Bomstaerk has managed to sneak the leg through. Bomstaerk scoring with strikes to the body and head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bomstaerk is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bomstaerk working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Stone is trying to get back to full guard. Stone taking some punishment here, with Bomstaerk in his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bomstaerk is looking for a kimura but Stone is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bomstaerk to get the leverage. Bomstaerk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working. Ground and pound from Bomstaerk. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bomstaerk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bomstaerk trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Bobby Bomstaerk has got the better of the ground game so far. Bomstaerk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stone's head. Bomstaerk is looking to pass into half guard but Stone pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Stone is in guard.

Bomstaerk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bomstaerk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stone defends it easily. Stone stops Bomstaerk from standing up. Bomstaerk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stone wants to stand but Bomstaerk is controlling his posture from full guard. Stone prevents Bomstaerk from getting back to his feet. Bomstaerk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bomstaerk is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stone scoring with punches to the head and body. Bomstaerk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stone chips away with some ground and pound. Bomstaerk has his feet on Stone's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Stone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bomstaerk moves away. Jab, jab by Bomstaerk - just one landing. Bomstaerk lands a jab. Stone gets a clinch. Bomstaerk gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stone regains guard.
Stone is pulling down on Bomstaerk's head to control his posture. Bomstaerk cracks Stone with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bomstaerk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bomstaerk trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Stone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bomstaerk passes into side control.
Stone tries to bench press Bomstaerk off him but Bomstaerk keeps the position. Bomstaerk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bomstaerk working away diligently from side control. Bomstaerk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Stone haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Bomstaerk working the head with strikes. Stone is rocked! Bomstaerk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bomstaerk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Oh Stone is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Stone is trying to improve his position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Bomstaerk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Stone moves in looking to clinch but Bomstaerk pushes him off. Stone seems to have got his legs back now. Bomstaerk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Stone pulls Bomstaerk in close to his closed guard and prevents Bomstaerk from doing any damage or advancing position. Stone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bomstaerk postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bomstaerk, into his guard.
Stone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bomstaerk pushes Stone off and gets back to his feet.
Stone doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Stone tries to clinch up. Bomstaerk connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Stone with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bomstaerk to score with a decent uppercut. Stone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone moves into the clinch. Stone's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bomstaerk is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stone is defending well. Stone misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bomstaerk.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bomstaerk managing to block the knees to the body from Stone.

Bomstaerk has Stone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Brett Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Bomstaerk. Stone is pressed up against the cage. Bomstaerk has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stone down to the mat. Stone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bomstaerk lands a nice shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stone. Stone tries to clinch up but Bomstaerk circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bomstaerk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stone circles away quickly and effectively. Bomstaerk scores with a nice right hand.
Stone is looking to clinch. Stone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stone wants it to stay on the feet. Bomstaerk misses with a head kick.
Bomstaerk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stone did well to prevent Bomstaerk getting side control. Stone blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bomstaerk. Stone is trying to stand back up but Bomstaerk is controlling him
Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bomstaerk is working away from the top position though. Bomstaerk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working. Brett Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bomstaerk wants to take a breather but Stone is having none of it. Bobby Bomstaerk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Stone keeps control of the position for the meantime. Bomstaerk trying to control from Stone's half guard. Stone has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Bomstaerk trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Stone working for a triangle but Bomstaerk defends it easily.
