Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Naulakko (ranked 1477 p4p, 1168 weight class) and Doug Bell (ranked 199 p4p, 155 weight class). Naulakko comes to the cage accompanied by Amon Amarth - First Kill. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pertti Naulakko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Bell!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Naulakko dodges the punch combination from Bell.
Bell lands with a thumping leg kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bell.
Naulakko misses the jab.
Bell throws a right and a left that Naulakko avoids nicely.
Bell tries a head kick but it misses.
Bell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bell connects with a jab.
Naulakko throws a looping overhand right but Bell ducks down to avoid it.
Bell throws a head kick that misses
and Naulakko counters with a straight right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Naulakko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Naulakko scores with a decent looking hook.
Bell loads up on a big right hand but Naulakko slips the punch.
Bell misses with a looping left.
Bell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Naulakko throws out the jab.
Naulakko scores with a sloppy right hand. Bell should have avoided that one.

Bell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Naulakko thinks about countering with a body kick.
Doug Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Naulakko prevents Bell from moving into mount.
Bell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Naulakko keeps working.
Bell looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Naulakko is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Naulakko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bell looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Naulakko is avoiding damage well.
Bell is looking to take a break and control but Naulakko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bell misses with the ground and pound.
Naulakko is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bell is trying to ground and pound but Naulakko uses the momentary lack of control by Bell to regain half guard.
Bell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Naulakko's head.
Naulakko works his way to full guard. Good work.

Bell stops Naulakko from standing up.
Bell throws a strike but Naulakko rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Naulakko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Naulakko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bell is trying to keep Naulakko in close.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Naulakko stops Bell from standing up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Naulakko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bell.
Naulakko throwing a counter right hand but Bell manages to avoid it.
Bell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bell lands a really nice looking cross but Naulakko seems unphased.
Bell misses the shot to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Naulakko misses the target.
Bell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Good exchange - Naulakko coming out on top.

Bell throws a body shot but no joy.
Bell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Naulakko.
Bell throws a head kick but Naulakko moves out of range.
Naulakko defending well as Bell loads up on a big left hand.
A little feinted left hand from Naulakko on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Bell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Naulakko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Naulakko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bell doesn't seem bothered though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Doug Bell dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Naulakko scores with a nice right hand.
Naulakko misses with an uppercut. Bell saw that one coming.
Bell moves away from the strike by Naulakko.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bell.
Naulakko tests Bell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bell just misses with a punch to the body.
Bell misses with an attempted mid kick.
Naulakko jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bell tries to counter by closing the distance.
Bell throws a right and a left that Naulakko avoids nicely.
Bell misses with a series of wild punches.
Doug Bell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Naulakko scores with a nice head shot.
Bell misses with a head kick.
Bell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bell moves out of range of the body kick from Naulakko.
Bell wants to counter the offense by Naulakko and move into the clinch position.
Bell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Naulakko lands with a nice body punch.

Bell takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Naulakko.
A jab lands there for Naulakko.
Bell slips under a jab from Naulakko.
Bell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pertti Naulakko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Naulakko lands a big uppercut and Bell crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bell looks OK. Naulakko waves Bell back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Naulakko misses with a few strikes there.
Bell misses with an uppercut
and Naulakko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Naulakko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Bell is rocked!
Bell throws a body shot but no joy.
Pertti Naulakko is winning the standup battle so far.
Bell slips a straight right by Naulakko.

Naulakko sends Bell crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Naulakko is motioning to the referee to let Bell up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Bell is still on wobbly legs! Can Naulakko finish him?
Bell takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Naulakko lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Bell head around and knocks him out cold! Naulakko hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
