The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Bruyne throws a series of punches but Hayes avoids them all with ease.
Hayes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hayes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
De Bruyne connects with a jab.
Hayes tests De Bruyne's chin there with a solid looking shot.
De Bruyne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hayes moves into range and connects with a jab.
De Bruyne tries for a takedown but Hayes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hayes lands a big head kick that sends De Bruyne tumbling to the mat! Hayes takes a step backwards and waves De Bruyne back to his feet - he wants the finish!
De Bruyne is rocked!
It looks like Jean-Claude De Bruyne has been cut.
