Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Cormier!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahola slips a straight right by Cormier.
Good standup being displayed there by Ahola as he connects with a hook.
Cormier doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cormier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ahola as he jumps to the side.
Cormier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ahola circles away.
Ahola keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jarkko Ahola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Cormier.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cormier working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Daniel Cormier decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
