The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James shoots and misses
and Venturi counters with a crisp one two that drops James! Venturi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves James to his feet! James is in big trouble!
James is rocked!
Phill James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Venturi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James.
Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Venturi avoids it really well and circles away.
Venturi throws a counter combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phill James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James throws a nice looking combination but Venturi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
James seems to have got his legs back now.
Venturi is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! James hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
