PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Coryatt (ranked 876 p4p, 976 weight class) and Korben Dallas (ranked 133 p4p, 146 weight class). Coryatt comes into the arena with Slim Thug - Welcome 2 Houston blaring out of the sound system. Korben Dallas acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Coryatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Korben Dallas!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dallas wants to clinch.
Coryatt on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Dallas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coryatt manages to avoid it.
Coryatt throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Dallas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coryatt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dallas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dallas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Coryatt.
Korben Dallas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dallas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It looked like Coryatt was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dallas.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Korben Dallas.
Well Dallas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
