Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Frost!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edward Smart!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Smart fails with the takedown.
Frost misses with an uppercut. Smart saw that one coming.
Frost moves forwards but Smart connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Frost lands with a shot to the body.
Smart looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Smart misses with a body kick.
Smart shoots in but Frost avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smart tries to land a front kick but Frost steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smart steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Frost.
A clash of legs there as Frost blocks the low kick.
Frost keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
John Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Smart.
Frost dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Smart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Frost slaps away a takedown attempt from Smart, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Frost lands a really nice looking cross but Smart seems unphased.

Smart is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Frost.

Smart lands with a thumping leg kick.
Smart throws a low kick but Frost avoids it.
Frost was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Smart is holding his hands too far apart here. Frost throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Smart is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
