Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Bostic (ranked 1775 p4p, 1015 weight class) and Hyun Jun Choi (ranked 107 p4p, 58 weight class). Bostic comes to the cage accompanied by Move. Hyun Jun Choi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Bostic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyun Jun Choi! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Choi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bostic doesn't seem phased though. Bostic shoots in looking for a takedown but Choi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bostic's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Choi scores with a hook. Bostic has his takedown stuffed and Bostic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bostic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A big left from Choi misses. Choi scores with a jab to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choi misses with a double jab.
Choi throws a lazy right hand but Bostic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. No luck for Bostic with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Bostic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bostic was well out of range. Poor timing from Choi. Bostic bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Choi's head backwards. Bostic scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Bostic fails with the takedown and Choi counters with an inside leg kick. Bostic throws out a loose jab but Choi uses good head movement to avoid it. Choi looks like he wants to counter punch here. Michael Bostic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Bostic misses. Bostic works Choi's body with a nice hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Choi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Bostic is looking to counter punch. Bostic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bostic. Bostic misses with a hook to the body
and Choi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bostic has been working on his balance at MY YARD 'Resurrect', so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Choi. Choi lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bostic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Choi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bostic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bostic jabs Choi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bostic throws a body shot but no joy. Bostic connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Bostic avoids the body shot from Choi.
Bostic drops down looking for a counter takedown but Choi sprawls and moves away. Bostic is looking to wear down Choi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Choi lands a nice hook to Bostic's body. Bostic takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Bostic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Choi moves away. Choi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Choi takes a shot right to the bread basket. Bostic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Choi manages to avoid it. Choi misses with a hook. Choi takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bostic pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Choi back to the cage. Bostic follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Bostic misses with a body shot.

Choi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bostic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Choi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bostic is in Choi's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bostic looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bostic wants to pass the guard but Choi is keeping the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Bostic will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Bostic misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Choi.
Choi doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Bostic misses with a shot to the body and Choi counters with a straight right hand. Choi fails to land with a series of punches.

Nice combination by Bostic!

Bostic throws a right hand that Choi ducks under and follows up with a left that Choi also avoids with ease. Choi slips under a jab. Bostic takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bostic blocks a jab. Bostic pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A shot to the body from Bostic misses enabling Choi to counter with a crisp jab. Bostic throws a jab but it's blocked by Choi. Choi lands with a nice body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bostic tries to move into range but Choi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Bostic rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Choi counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bostic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Choi. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bostic lands a nice shot to the body.

Bostic is rocked! Bostic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Choi is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bostic with a body shot. Oh Bostic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bostic walks straight into a right hand from Choi - that's dropped him! Choi jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bostic from any more punishment! Bostic complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hyun Jun Choi! Hyun Jun Choi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
