Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Landry Stephenson (ranked 2090 p4p, 3076 weight class) and Billy Irish (ranked 263 p4p, 362 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stephenson is defended easily by Irish.
Irish lands a jab to Stephenson's midsection.

Irish fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Irish scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stephenson doesn't seem bothered though.

We've been hearing reports that Stephenson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Irish cracks Stephenson with an open hand slap.
Irish bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stephenson's head backwards.
Stephenson darts in looking for a takedown but Irish gets double underhooks and turns Stephenson into the cage.

Stephenson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Irish fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Irish shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stephenson's guard.

Irish looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Stephenson is defending well. Irish quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Stephenson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Irish celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
