Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Petrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alessio Scardina!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scardina will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Petrov misses with a shot to the body
so Scardina counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Petrov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Scardina is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Petrov has his foot on Scardina's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scardina works his way back into a safe position though.
Petrov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Scardina frees his head nicely. Oh but Petrov has switched to an armbar! Scardina is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
