PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Domenico Mazziotti (ranked 63 p4p, 112 weight class) and James Cole (ranked 9 p4p, 13 weight class). Mazziotti comes into the arena with Welcome to the party - Pop Smoke blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Cole in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Mazziotti might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

James Cole comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cole has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

James Cole decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
