Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Sparxx (ranked 109 p4p, 283 weight class) and Felix Inarritu (ranked 21 p4p, 38 weight class). Inarritu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Vulcano. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inarritu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Felix Inarritu has been cut.
Sparxx lands with a right hand.
Sparxx throws a looping overhand right but Inarritu ducks down to avoid it.
Sparxx has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Inarritu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sparxx comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gary Sparxx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Inarritu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sparxx throws out the jab.

Inarritu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Inarritu is still on wobbly legs! Can Sparxx finish him?
Sparxx throws the left hand but Inarritu avoids the punch easily.
Inarritu seems to have recovered his senses.
Sparxx throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Inarritu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sparxx swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Inarritu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Inarritu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Inarritu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Inarritu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sparxx.
A little jabbing left from Inarritu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Inarritu looks to land a combination. Sparxx sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Inarritu counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Sparxx drops Inarritu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Inarritu looks back up at him and smiles so Sparxx waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sparxx lands a nice looking kick to the body. Inarritu takes a step back to recover.
Inarritu throws a jab when Sparxx was well out of range.
Sparxx throws out a loose jab but Inarritu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sparxx misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Inarritu counters with a nice uppercut.
A slow jab from Sparxx misses its intended target.
Sparxx throws a hook but Inarritu blocks it.
Inarritu throws a hook to the side of Sparxx's head but Sparxx sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sparxx misses with a right hand
and Inarritu counters with a straight right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sparxx, as that shot connected.
Sparxx throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Sparxx throws out a leg kick but Inarritu moves out of range and Sparxx only half commits.
Sparxx misses with a hook
and Inarritu counters with a good low kick that Sparxx was not able to check.
Sparxx throws a series of punches but Inarritu avoids them all with ease.
Inarritu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sparxx makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Sparxx looks to land a right hand but Inarritu moved out of range.
Inarritu slips a straight right by Sparxx.
Inarritu moves out of range of the body kick from Sparxx.
Sparxx misses with a double jab.
Inarritu drops his hands momentarily and Sparxx needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Inarritu just on the top of the head. Inarritu drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Inarritu - he's done!
