Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tristan Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lewis Larson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Winston Howard and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to clinch but Larson moves out of range.
Young shoots in looking for a takedown. Larson tries to sprawl out of it but Young keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Larson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Young.
Young goes for a double leg but Larson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Larson continues to drive forward.
Larson unleashes a big counter combination but Young bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tristan Young. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Larson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Young pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Larson has picked Young up - he's going for a ride! Larson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Young tries to roll over but Larson keeps him under control.
Young is trying to stand.
Larson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Young with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Larson connects with a nice short shot to Young's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Larson is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Young is hurt! He's hurt bad - Larson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Young from any more punishment! Congratulations to Larson! Great finish!

Lewis Larson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
