The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goomba.
Goomba shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Goomba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Goomba has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Goomba there as he acknowledges the shot.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Goomba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
