Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Giant Grizzly (ranked 4241 p4p, 4372 weight class) and Dennys Martinez (ranked 490 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Giant Grizzly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennys Martinez! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Martinez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Grizzly takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Martinez clinches up against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Grizzly has picked Martinez up - he's going for a ride! Grizzly dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Martinez trying to hold on to Grizzly's head to control him but Grizzly postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Grizzly in particular looking to stall. Grizzly works his foot free and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grizzly landing strikes from the mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martinez is trying to escape the mount.

Grizzly working Martinez over with strikes here. Grizzly takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Grizzly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Grizzly is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Grizzly!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Giant Grizzly! In his post fight interview, Giant Grizzly started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
