PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mataeo Mcbee (ranked 4376 p4p, 4251 weight class) and Florentius Scheuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mataeo Mcbee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Florentius Scheuss!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcbee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mcbee content to control rather than advance.
Scheuss trying to hold on to Mcbee's head to control him but Mcbee postures up.
Scheuss is looking for a sweep. Mcbee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mcbee working over Scheuss with some ground and pound. Scheuss looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Scheuss is looking to control Mcbee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scheuss avoid being mounted?
Mcbee performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Mcbee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scheuss on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcbee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Scheuss for as long as he can get away with.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scheuss wants to control but Mcbee is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Scheuss has a hand on Mcbee's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mcbee takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Scheuss sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mcbee lands with a punch from half guard.
Scheuss is trying to control but can't.
Mcbee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Mcbee is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Scheuss has managed to free his arm - good work.
Scheuss tries to roll over but Mcbee keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Scheuss looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Mcbee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mcbee winds up and cracks Scheuss with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Scheuss is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcbee pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcbee tries to pass the half guard into mount. Scheuss knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcbee is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Scheuss is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mcbee scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mcbee looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Mcbee lands strikes from half guard.
Scheuss wants to get back to full guard.
Scheuss has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcbee is working away from the top position though.
Scheuss wants to control the action here but instead Mcbee manages to pass to full mount!
Scheuss is working to get back to half guard.
Mcbee controlling from the full mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mcbee prevents Scheuss from getting the reversal.
Mcbee lands a heavy elbow.
Scheuss wants to hold on but Mcbee pushes him away.
Scheuss is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scheuss is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mcbee is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mcbee lands with some strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scheuss takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mataeo Mcbee dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Mcbee drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mcbee is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Scheuss is rocked!
Scheuss looking to control.
Scheuss is still in real trouble! Can Mcbee finish him?

Mcbee stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Scheuss fails with the takedown.
Mcbee feints a jab and as Scheuss dips his head, Mcbee unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Scheuss right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Scheuss falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Mcbee smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mataeo Mcbee!
