Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Tweet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Blart! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tweet gets a clinch. Tweet scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Paul Blart has been cut. Tweet turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tweet manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blart wants to control but Tweet postures up. Blart is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tweet is staying active. Tweet looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Blart is avoiding damage well.
Tweet is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blart is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tweet is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blart has escaped the position, nice work there. Tweet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tweet thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tweet misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blart avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tweet. Blart tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tweet wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Blart's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Blart shoots in for a takedown but Tweet shows good takedown defense. Blart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tweet tries to avoid it but Blart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tweet to the ground. Tweet escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tweet shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Tweet is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Tweet missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blart trying to control but Tweet postures up.
Blart keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Tweet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blart keeps working. Tweet is working for a kimura but Blart is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tweet is looking for a kimura but Blart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tweet to get the leverage. Tweet is breathing heavily. Blart trying to control but Tweet postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Blart tries for a takedown but Tweet circles away easily and Tweet counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Anthony Tweet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Blart.

Tweet forces his way into half guard. Tweet moves into full mount! Blart won't be happy about that! Tweet takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tweet lands a nice shot to the head. Tweet tries to control but Blart wriggling away. Blart in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tweet with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Tweet wants to take Blart's back but he can't do it this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tweet looking to secure an arm triangle but Blart defends it well. Tweet is going olschool here, as he tries to force Blart to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Blart shrugs it off. Blart tries to hold on but Tweet postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Tweet dominated that round. The cut man is working on Paul Blart's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Blart shoots and misses and Tweet counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Tweet feints and as Blart raises his hands in defense, Tweet changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tweet wants to control from the top but Blart keeps moving. Tweet advances position into side control! Tweet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tweet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ground and pound from Tweet seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Tweet looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tweet thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blart is trying to control Tweet's posture but Tweet avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Blart is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Tweet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Anthony Tweet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tweet advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tweet sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Blart is squirming around, avoiding Tweet's attempts to control the action. Blart wants to control but Tweet is having none of it. Blart wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tweet.
Tweet has hold of Blart's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blart manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Tweet has control of Blart's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blart regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tweet is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Blart has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Blart tries to hold on but Tweet pushes him away. Tweet wants to control the pace but Blart is squirming around nicely. Tweet working for a submission but Blart is keeping him at bay. Tweet avoids the attempt from Blart to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Blart is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tweet is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Blart is surviving well by controlling Tweet's body position as best he can. Tweet tries to push Blart's head away but Blart is holding on tight. Blart wants to try and get back to his feet. Blart defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tweet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tweet working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Blart wants to control but Tweet is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tweet throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Tweet looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tweet is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tweet is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blart is just riding it out for now. Tweet eventually gives up the hold. Blart holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tweet in particular looking to stall. Tweet is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blart trying to control here.
Blart is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Blart is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Tweet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Blart is trying to control but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Tweet showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tweet has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
