The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick lands for Canada.
Paulin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thierry Paulin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Paulin checks a leg kick.
Paulin thinks about the counter body kick.
Paulin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Canada can pounce on him.
Canada throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Canada has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Canada has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Paulin.
Canada lands with a thumping leg kick.
Paulin scores with a head kick. Canada tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Beau Canada has been cut.
Paulin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Canada moves away.
Paulin avoids the head kick by Canada.

Paulin lands a big head kick that sends Canada tumbling to the mat! Paulin takes a step backwards and waves Canada back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Paulin weaves into range and cracks Canada right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Canada goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Paulin is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
