Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Snowdon (ranked 594 p4p, 893 weight class) and Wilmerr Fudd (ranked 88 p4p, 126 weight class). Wilmerr Fudd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, William Snowdon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilmerr Fudd!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Snowdon.

Snowdon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Fudd is looking to reverse the position.
Snowdon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Snowdon happy to just control the position for now.
Fudd is trying to control Snowdon's posture but Snowdon avoids it.

Snowdon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fudd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fudd felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Snowdon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fudd manages to work his way to half guard, despite Snowdon's best efforts.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Snowdon is looking to take a break and control but Fudd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Snowdon drops back looking for a leg! Fudd is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fudd manages to kick Snowdon off! Snowdon jumps back into Fudd's guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fudd keeping full guard, as Snowdon tries to pass.
Snowdon wants to control from the top but Fudd keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Snowdon shoots in for a double leg but Fudd sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
It seemed like Fudd was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Snowdon shoots in for a takedown but Fudd shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fudd closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Snowdon's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snowdon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fudd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Snowdon is looking for a triangle but Fudd pushes his legs off easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fudd postures up and lands a big shot to Snowdon's brow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fudd is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

William Snowdon dominated that round.
That's time! Snowdon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fudd closes the distance and clinches up with Snowdon, looking for a takedown. Fudd pushes Snowdon against the cage but Snowdon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fudd shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Snowdon defends it nicely.

Snowdon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Snowdon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fudd is just riding it out for now. Snowdon eventually gives up the hold.

Snowdon is looking for a kimura but Fudd is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Snowdon to get the leverage.

Fudd is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Snowdon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Snowdon's back!

Snowdon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fudd can do to turn this around?

Snowdon sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Fudd seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Snowdon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fudd is nestled in close to Snowdon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Snowdon is looking for a sweep. Fudd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fudd is trying to control the action in half guard but Snowdon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Snowdon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fudd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fudd chips away with some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fudd's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Fudd with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Oh Snowdon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Snowdon pushes a forearm under Fudd's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Fudd is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
