Merchant comes into the arena with DMX - Intro blaring out of the sound system. Lee Merchant has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Merchant.
Yamamoto checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Yamamoto looks to land a right hand but Merchant moved out of range.
Merchant lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Merchant.
Yamamoto defending well as Merchant loads up on a big left hand.
Yamamoto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Merchant.
Lee Merchant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Merchant catches Yamamoto napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Yamamoto to the canvas!

It looks like Isoroku Yamamoto has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Merchant trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Yamamoto pushes Merchant off and scrambles back to his feet.
Merchant dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Yamamoto. That did some damage!
Yamamoto fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Merchant digs a good body shot into Yamamoto's ribs.
Yamamoto looks gassed!
Merchant lands a nice looking body kick.
Merchant uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Merchant cracks Yamamoto with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Merchant has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Yamamoto to stand back up!
Yamamoto is still on wobbly legs! Can Merchant finish him?
Merchant throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Yamamoto seems to have recovered his senses.
Merchant lands with a straight right. Yamamoto didn't see that one coming.

Yamamoto tries to get into range but Merchant steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Yamamoto! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Merchant scores the big KO victory!
