Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert McPherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPherson comes to the cage accompanied by Flight of the Conchords - Bret's Angry Dance. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert McPherson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Igor Santana! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPherson misses with a wild combination.
Santana shoots in looking for a takedown. McPherson tries to sprawl out of it but Santana keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McPherson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McPherson looks to land a combination but Santana avoids it well. McPherson misses with the combination.
Santana moves out of range as McPherson strikes. Santana fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McPherson misses with a takedown and Santana counters with a big head kick but McPherson shrugs it off. Santana with a lazy takedown attempt and McPherson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Robert McPherson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Santana. Santana tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santana is on top in guard.
Santana working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Santana drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Santana seems to have locked his on tight now - McPherson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Santana, as he picks up the win!
