Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean-Claude Marceau (ranked 2 p4p, 21 weight class) and Sergey Shipilov (ranked 1 p4p, 2 weight class). Marceau kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Feist - Tout Doucement. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marceau is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Marceau lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Shipilov blocks a jab.
Shipilov throws a fast counter high kick but Marceau manages to duck under it in time.
Shipilov throws a hook to the side of Marceau's head but Marceau sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Shipilov counters with a three punch combo that has Marceau backing up. Marceau nods at Shipilov to acknowledge the strikes.
Jean-Claude Marceau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shipilov missing with a left hand there. Marceau was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Marceau throws an overhand right that lands on Shipilov's shoulder, as Shipilov tries to avoid the shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shipilov! But no joy.

and Shipilov counters with a right hand that sends Marceau tumbling to the canvas! Can Shipilov finish him? He dives into Marceau's guard looking to do just that!
Shipilov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Whack! Shipilov lands a heavy head kick that drops Marceau. The ref tackles Shipilov to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Marceau was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Sergey Shipilov!
