CWC 281 PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 12 losses; Joe Gatsby! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 7 losses; Reima Poika!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Poika closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gatsby's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Gatsby (0) vs (2) Poika
Gatsby has control of Poika's left arm, preventing Poika from doing any damage.
My spies in Silverback MMA inform me that Poika has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
