Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shicko Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Zenari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shicko Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Guilherme Zenari!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Zenari coming out on top.


It looks like Shicko Boom has been cut.
Zenari scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boom doesn't seem bothered though.
Boom blocks a head kick by Zenari.
Zenari with a hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zenari throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boom misses with a head kick.
Zenari takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Zenari throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zenari lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Boom throws a quick inside leg kick.

Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Zenari wants to hold on but Boom pushes him away.
Zenari is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Zenari is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boom controlling from mount.
Zenari slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Boom is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boom missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Zenari wants to get back to his feet.
Zenari is staying active underneath Boom, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Zenari tries to kick Boom off but Boom keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Zenari looks gassed!
Boom wants to control but Zenari is keeping him busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boom connects with a nice short shot to Zenari's temple.
Boom is thwarting Zenari's attempts to control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Zenari connects with a right hand. Boom shakes it off.
Zenari misses with an uppercut.
Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zenari swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boom shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zenari but Zenari pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Zenari. No joy for Boom on that attempt.
Zenari works Boom's body with a nice hook.
Zenari punishes Boom's body with a nice straight punch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shicko Boom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zenari scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Boom counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Zenari looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Zenari throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zenari looking for a sweep. Not yet Zenari, not yet.
Boom passes into half guard.
Zenari keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Boom is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boom tries to pass to full mount but Zenari defends it.
Zenari trying to hold on to Boom's head to control him but Boom postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boom wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zenari keeps working.
Zenari is trying to stand up here but Boom is controlling him well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Guilherme Zenari dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Shicko Boom's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nice takedown defense from Zenari. No joy for Boom on that attempt.
Shicko Boom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown by Boom or perhaps it was just good defense by Zenari which made him look bad.
Boom misses with a takedown attempt - Zenari sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shicko Boom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Zenari.
Zenari fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Boom dodges the punch combination from Zenari.
Zenari misses with a few strikes there.
Guilherme Zenari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zenari connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Boom momentarily.
Nice sprawl there from Boom as Zenari shoots in.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zenari looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boom walks into a left hand.
Boom throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zenari makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Boom takes a jab right on the kisser.
Boom uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zenari.
Zenari throws a combination that misses

and Boom moves into the clinch.

Boom breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zenari lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

and Boom counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zenari won't be happy with that.
Zenari is trying to get back to his feet.
Zenari is not content to let Boom control the position.
Boom working away.
Zenari is trying to work for a sweep but Boom has mounted him!

Boom can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zenari is looking to escape.
Boom landing strikes from the mount and Zenari is in trouble!
Boom tries to control but Zenari wriggling away.
Boom won't let Zenari get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Zenari tries to improve his position but Boom has taken his back! Boom has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Zenari tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Boom pushes Zenari away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shicko Boom!
