Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chou Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basil Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chou Rico looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chou Rico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown swings for the body but Rico moves out of range.
Rico closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brown to the mat! Brown manages to get full guard.
Brown keeping moving, preventing Rico from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown controls Rico momentarily but Rico frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rico passes into half guard.
Brown is looking to control Rico's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rico stalling.
Rico lands strikes from half guard.

Rico content to control rather than advance.
Rico really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rico looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Brown trying to control but Rico postures up.
Brown wants to improve his position but Rico is controlling well.
Rico decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Brown looks gassed!

Rico fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rico shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side.
Brown pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rico is out of range and Brown settles back down.
Brown drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Brown misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Rico is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brown tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rico's legs.

Rico avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Brown.
Brown fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Rico sneaks back into half guard.
Rico moves into full guard.
Rico will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Rico is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rico lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brown!

Brown sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rico has his takedown stuffed
and Brown counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rico!
Rico is looking to get to half guard.
Rico is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rico is looking to escape.
Brown breaks from Rico's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rico is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.

Brown trying to control but Rico is having none of it.
Rico is trying to escape the mount.
Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rico is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rico is looking to get to half guard.
Rico is bucking up trying to escape but Brown cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Brown has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rico's face.
Brown wants to control the pace but Rico is squirming around nicely.
Brown postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rico looks a forlorn figure.
Rico is working to get back to half guard.

Rico reaches up to try and control the position but Brown seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Rico rolls and tries to escape and now Brown has his back!

Rico has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rico manages to reverse the position and now he's in Brown's guard. Nice work there by Rico.
Brown looking for a sweep. Not yet Brown, not yet.
Rico drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rico jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Brown is trying to keep Rico in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rico tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Basil Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rico's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Rico is trying to stand up here but Brown is controlling him well.
Brown prevents Rico from improving his position.
Brown is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rico defends it well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Brown is stalling here. Rico is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brown seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rico has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Brown is not content to let Rico control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brown fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rico sprawls well initially but Brown persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rico keeps working.

Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but Rico is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Rico is defending well.
Rico is refusing to be controlled, as Brown sits in half guard.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rico. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rico wants to get back to his feet.
Brown is looking to advance position but Rico won't allow it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rico's guard now.

Brown must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brown looking to sit in guard and control but Rico gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rico is one step ahead there.
Rico wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.

Basil Brown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brown has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
