Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Tassen (ranked 1653 p4p, 468 weight class) and Rav Kapur (ranked 220 p4p, 67 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Tassen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Rav Kapur! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kapur manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tassen on his heels. He'll look to pass Tassen's guard now, I'm sure. Kapur trying to control but Tassen is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kapur controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kapur wants to control from the top but Tassen keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kapur shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tassen pinned against the cage. Tassen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tassen misses with a straight right. Kapur is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tassen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tassen appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kapur is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tassen throws a jab but it's blocked by Kapur. Kapur looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tassen is fending him off so far but Kapur persists. Nope, Tassen circles away and we're back to standing. Lee Tassen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rav Kapur. Kapur tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tassen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kapur somewhat. Tassen feinted with a counter takedown. Tassen tries to sprawl out of it but Kapur keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tassen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lee Tassen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kapur is defended easily by Tassen. Kapur shoots in looking for a takedown but Tassen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kapur's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tassen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kapur displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tassen throws out the jab. Kapur darts in looking for a takedown but Tassen gets double underhooks and turns Kapur into the cage. Kapur fails with the takedown. Tassen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tassen wants it to stay on the feet. The fighters circle momentarily. Tassen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tassen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kapur finds it's way round the side to connect with Tassen's head. Kapur shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tassen sprawls well. Tassen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kapur gets slowly back to his feet. Kapur darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Tassen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kapur seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tassen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kapur is working for a submission of some sort.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kapur is trying to control. Tassen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Tassen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rav Kapur's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Kapur takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kapur shoots in and bounces Tassen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kapur trying to control but Tassen is working from the bottom. Tassen wants to get back to his feet but Kapur is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kapur is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kapur's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Kapur pulls Tassen in close to his closed guard and prevents Tassen from doing any damage or advancing position. Tassen tries to stand but Kapur is controlling from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kapur working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tassen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tassen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tassen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kapur manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tassen manages to get himself to full guard.
Kapur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tassen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kapur controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kapur drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tassen dives on top into guard. Kapur looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tassen is one step ahead there. Kapur lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kapur is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Rav Kapur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rav Kapur's cut. That's time! Tassen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Kapur shoots in but no luck this time. A slow jab from Tassen misses its intended target. Kapur is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Tassen scores with a nice right hand.

Kapur on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kapur throws a body punch but Tassen moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tassen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tassen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kapur was well out of range. Poor timing from Tassen. Kapur looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tassen feinted with a counter takedown. Tassen lands a head shot.

Tassen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kapur on the ground. Kapur looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Rav Kapur has got the better of the ground game so far. Kapur is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lee Tassen. I think Tassen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
