Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johanas Jankens (ranked 2889 p4p, 2452 weight class) and Deontologicus Smiff (ranked 359 p4p, 302 weight class). Jankens's entrance music is Can't touch this by- MC HAMMER. A fine choice. Johanas Jankens has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deontologicus Smiff!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jankens is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at PRETTY PETERS FIGHT CLUB that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Jankens's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Smiff trying to control the action but Jankens is working from the bottom.
Smiff tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Jankens takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Smiff working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Smiff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jankens keeps working.
Smiff lands an elbow.
Smiff advances to mount.
Jankens is desperately trying to improve his position but Smiff has a good base and remains in mount.
BOOM! Smiff connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jankens might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Smiff content just to control the position here.
