PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno De Oliveira (ranked 797 p4p, 2358 weight class) and Titus Lesnar (ranked 111 p4p, 302 weight class). Lesnar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Next Big Thing. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Titus Lesnar was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Titus Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Lesnar as De Oliveira shoots in.
Lesnar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lesnar.
De Oliveira tries to buck Lesnar off but Lesnar is having none of it.
De Oliveira is working hard here to advance position.

De Oliveira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De Oliveira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lesnar is just riding it out for now. De Oliveira eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lesnar is looking to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

And Lesnar tries to counter it with a takedown but De Oliveira pushes his down on his head and steps out.

De Oliveira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lesnar is looking to work his way out of this bad position but De Oliveira is controlling him well.

De Oliveira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lesnar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Oliveira is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lesnar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lesnar is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, De Oliveira asserts his dominance and retains side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

De Oliveira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lesnar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lesnar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
De Oliveira shoots in looking for a takedown. Lesnar tries to sprawl out of it but De Oliveira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lesnar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bruno De Oliveira is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lesnar works over De Oliveira's head and body with a nice combination.
Lesnar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

De Oliveira tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lesnar defends well and De Oliveira ends up having to push Lesnar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lesnar drops De Oliveira with a left and a right! Oh, De Oliveira is hurt - Lesnar dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Bruno De Oliveira has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

De Oliveira seems to have got his legs back now.
Lesnar cracks De Oliveira with a big elbow.
Lesnar scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh De Oliveira is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lesnar can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Titus Lesnar!
Titus Lesnar bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
