PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tama Ruiha (ranked 901 p4p, 1351 weight class) and Bad Dawg (ranked 125 p4p, 182 weight class). Ruiha comes into the arena with Polynesian Traditional Music blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Ruiha.
Dawg moves out of range of the strikes.
Dawg connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ruiha momentarily.
Dawg fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ruiha looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dawg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruiha manages to avoid it.
Ruiha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dawg.
Ruiha gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Dawg moves forwards but Ruiha connects with a nice, crisp jab.

This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Tama Ruiha will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ruiha cracks Dawg with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ruiha has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dawg to stand back up!

Ruiha is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Are you kidding me?! Ruiha ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Dawg clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
