Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Odd Job (ranked 1347 p4p, 1279 weight class) and Jake Damien (ranked 180 p4p, 168 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Odd Job!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Damien!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Damien changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Job looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Job is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Job definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Damien has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Job is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Job wants to control but Damien is having none of it.

Damien has hold of Job's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Job manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Damien looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Job tries to hold on but Damien postures up.

Damien goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Job turns into him and now he's in Damien's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Job shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Damien's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Odd Job will probably get the nod.

Damien throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Job was covering up waiting for the punch and Damien finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Damien looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Damien is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Job doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Damien.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Damien seems to be working for a kimura but Job defends the submission attempt.
Job regains full guard. Nicely done.

Damien got a little sloppy there for a moment and Job has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Damien has managed to get both his arms back between Job's legs - danger averted.

Job seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Damien for as long as he can get away with.

Job wants to pass the guard but Damien is keeping the position.
Job engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Damien had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Job defends it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Damien wants to sweep but no luck.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Damien showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Damien is looking to pass Job's guard but actually Job recovers to full guard.

Damien stands and throws Job's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Damien working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Job doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Job manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Damien lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Damien drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Job dives on top into guard.

Job seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Damien makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Damien.
Job connects with a couple of short punches.

Damien is trying to hold Job in close to prevent damage but Job has managed to pass into half guard.

Job wants to control but Damien is keeping him busy.

I would just about give that final round to Jake Damien.
Well Damien has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
