Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Vargas (ranked 1261 p4p, 560 weight class) and Lee Tassen (ranked 175 p4p, 79 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas staying out of range there.
Vargas misses with a shot to the body
and Tassen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tassen misses with a few strikes there.
Vargas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tassen.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tassen.
Tassen lands a nice looking body shot.
Vargas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tassen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tassen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vargas digs a right hand underneath Tassen's ribcage. Tassen let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Vargas working the clinch nicely. Tassen is working for position but Vargas cracks him with a big knee to the head! Tassen crumples up against the cage and Vargas lands two more shots before the ref can save Tassen! This one is all over!
