Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hin Kasai (ranked 4367 p4p, 4346 weight class) and Wayne Brooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hin Kasai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayne Brooke!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A bone on bone clash there as Kasai blocks the leg kick.
Kasai tries for a takedown but Brooke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kasai moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBrooke.
Brooke stuffs the takedown attempt from Kasai. Kasai gets slowly back to his feet.

Kasai drives through and clinches with Brooke against the cage.

Kasai gets underhooks to prevent Brooke's takedown attempt.

Kasai dives in and grabs Brooke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brooke pushes down on Kasai's head and hops out.

Brooke controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kasai wants to stand but Brooke is controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brooke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kasai holds on and takes a little breather.
Brooke slips nicely into half guard.
Brooke takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Brooke lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brooke in particular looking to stall.
Kasai preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooke moves nicely into side control.

You can see the frustration on Kasai's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brooke can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kasai tries to clinch up but Brooke circles away and keeps his distance.

As Brooke tries to get set, Kasai tries to push him back and clinch up but Brooke manages to avoid the attempt.
Kasai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brooke as he avoids it easily.
Kasai moves in looking to clinch but Brooke pushes him off.
Brooke throws a counter combo.
Kasai cracks a nice hook into Brooke's ribs.
Sloppy strikes from Kasai. Those never looked like landing.
Brooke throws a body shot but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kasai goes for a double leg but Brooke avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brooke continues to drive forward.

Kasai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Brooke closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kasai has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brooke is working away from the top position though.
Brooke takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Brooke is continuing to stall.
Brooke has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brooke takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brooke cracks Kasai with a big right hand but Kasai just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Brooke has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Brooke has an Americana. Kasai didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Brooke is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Brooke hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
