Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Crash Clip Nit (ranked 5791 p4p, 24207 weight class) and LaDarian Frank (ranked 525 p4p, 580 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Crash Clip Nit! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, LaDarian Frank! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clip Nit throws a hook but Frank avoids it easily. Frank looks to score with a jab to the body but Clip Nit is just out of range. Clip Nit is looking to counter with a shot to the body. LaDarian Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clip Nit takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Crash Clip Nit has been cut. Frank tries to bum rush Clip Nit with a series of wild strikes but Clip Nit uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Frank slips a jab from Clip Nit. A little jabbing left from Frank on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Frank looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Frank misses the jab. Clip Nit slips a jab and a cross from Frank.

and Clip Nit counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frank steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Clip Nit. Clip Nit throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Clip Nit thows a left - swing and a miss! Frank throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Clip Nit misses with a straight left. Despite the aggression on Frank's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Clip Nit has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Shut Up & Train! {$1000} in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Clip Nit misses. Frank lands with a good body shot. Frank misses the jab. Frank misses with an uppercut
and Clip Nit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Clip Nit thuds his right hand into Frank's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Clip Nit cracks a nice hook into Frank's ribs. Clip Nit throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Frank counter with a right hand. Frank tries to bum rush Clip Nit with a series of wild strikes but Clip Nit uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Frank lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Clip Nit goes down! The ref sends Frank to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Clip Nit is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Clip Nit keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Frank counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Crash Clip Nit's cut is getting worse.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clip Nit misses with a head kick.
Frank takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd cheers as Frank lands an impressive looking overhand right. Clip Nit doesn't seem phased though. Frank cracks Clip Nit with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Clip Nit is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Clip Nit is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Clip Nit could not beat the count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). LaDarian Frank! LaDarian Frank retains his lightweight title!
