Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jones (ranked 1666 p4p, 2042 weight class) and Chief Walker (ranked 228 p4p, 274 weight class). Alex Jones had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Walker! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A big right from Walker misses. Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Walker manages to circle out of the way. A good leg kick by Walker. Walker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walker's guard. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones wants to pass the guard but Walker is keeping the position. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Walker pushes Jones off and scrambles back to his feet.
Walker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walker showed some decent athleticism there. This has been an exciting period of action! Walker decides to return to a standing position. A jab from Walker misses. Jones ducks under a wild hook from Walker. Jones tries to counter with a takedown but Walker is quick to defend against it. Chief Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Walker misses and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jones scoring with some ground and pound. Jones scoring with some ground and pound. Jones prevents Walker from getting back to his feet. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard. Jones scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Walker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've been hearing that Jones has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Walker wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Walker is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Walker blocks nicely. Walker wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Jones lands a couple of elbows. Walker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walker.
Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Walker manages to circle out of the way. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker connects with a crisp jab. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Walker.
It looked like Jones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Walker. Walker is looking to slow Jones down with leg kicks. Walker plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Jones swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Jones face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chief Walker! Chief Walker decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
