Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Nelson (ranked 23473 p4p, 24293 weight class) and Kentur Kimathi (ranked 584 p4p, 599 weight class). Kentur Kimathi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Will Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kentur Kimathi! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimathi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nelson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nelson looking to score a takedown here. Kimathi is defending well but Nelson drives through and ends up in Kimathi's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimathi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nelson is controlling him. Nelson gets to his feet. Kimathi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Nelson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nelson tries for a takedown but Kimathi circles away easily and Kimathi counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Will Nelson has been cut. Nelson looks to clinch and Nelson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Kimathi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson misses with a takedown attempt - Kimathi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nelson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kimathi's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimathi wants to stand and escape but Nelson is having none of it. Nelson stands up over Kimathi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kimathi wants to stand up but Nelson is controlling him. Kimathi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nelson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nelson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kimathi is keeping the position for now. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kimathi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kimathi wants to stand up but Nelson is controlling him. Nelson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nelson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kimathi wants to get back to his feet but Nelson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kimathi keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nelson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nelson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kimathi wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Nelson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kimathi lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Kimathi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kimathi throws a jab but it's blocked by Nelson. Nelson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nelson wants to control from the top but Kimathi keeps moving. Nelson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kimathi's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson trying to control the pace. Kimathi is trying to escape back to his feet but Nelson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kimathi is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Nelson advances to mount. Kimathi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Nelson swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
