Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Tepes Iii (ranked 706 p4p, 1151 weight class) and Brutalis Rhino (ranked 107 p4p, 161 weight class). Brutalis Rhino will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Rhino or perhaps it was just good defense by Tepes Iii, which made it look bad.
Good leg kick by Tepes Iii.
Tepes Iii misses with a few strikes there.

Tepes Iii bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rhino fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tepes Iii feints and then cracks Rhino's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rhino down.

Rhino steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tepes Iii. That one must have hurt.

Rhino decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rhino tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tepes Iii knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Rhino shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tepes Iii sprawls well. Tepes Iii wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rhino gets slowly back to his feet.

Rhino is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Tepes Iii connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rhino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tepes Iii tries to avoid it but Rhino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tepes Iii to the ground. Tepes Iii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vlad Tepes Iii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutalis Rhino.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tepes Iii cracks Rhino on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rhino falls backwards against the cage. Tepes Iii follows up with more strikes that drop Rhino to his knees. Tepes Iii keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Rhino! This one is all over!
