Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arturo Vargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Turn !
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turn wants to clinch.
Vargas lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Ray Turn has been cut.
Vargas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vargas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Vargas cracks Turn with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Vargas has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Turn to stand back up!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vargas drops Turn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Turn looks back up at him and smiles so Vargas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Turn is rocked!
That has opened up Ray Turn 's cut even more.
Vargas weaves into range and cracks Turn right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Turn goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Vargas is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Arturo Vargas!
A very excited looking Arturo Vargas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
