Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benny Owens (ranked 4230 p4p, 3022 weight class) and Terrance Harris (ranked 483 p4p, 374 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benny Owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terrance Harris!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Owens shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Harris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris is on top in guard.

Owens has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Harris is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Owens.

Harris stands up and beckons Owens to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harris. Owens does a little dance to reset his feet.
Harris connects with a body shot.
Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from Owens, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Benny Owens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Owens dodges the punch combination from Harris.
Owens looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Harris throws a body kick that misses.
As Harris tries to get set, Owens tries to push him back and clinch up but Harris manages to avoid the attempt.
Owens dives in and grabs Harris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes down on Owens's head and hops out.

Owens closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Harris's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Owens slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Owens drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harris dives on top into guard.

Owens had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harris defends it easily.
