Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Uzi Mowinagwe (ranked 4407 p4p, 3887 weight class) and Yuta Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 460 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Uzi Mowinagwe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuta Watanabe!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe instigates a clinch.
Mowinagwe blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mowinagwe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Watanabe softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Watanabe tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mowinagwe is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Watanabe lands with a short shot to the head.
Mowinagwe blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Watanabe lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A head punch on the inside from Watanabe fails to land.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mowinagwe just misses with a elbow thrown towards Watanabe's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Watanabe keeps control of Mowinagwe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mowinagwe wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mowinagwe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Watanabe has him pressed against the cage.
Mowinagwe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Watanabe smiles and moves away.
Watanabe stuffs the takedown.

Watanabe closes the distance and pushes Mowinagwe back into the cage.

Oh Mowinagwe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Watanabe scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Watanabe creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Mowinagwe with a big uppercut! Mowinagwe tries to clinch up but Watanabe pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Mowinagwe to the mat! Mowinagwe covers up and Watanabe unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
