Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Rusov!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rusov blocks a head kick by Zakrzewski.
Zakrzewski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Rusov misses with a two punch combination.

Rusov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zakrzewski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rusov is in Zakrzewski's guard.

Zakrzewski has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rusov has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Rusov is trying to break the clinch but Zakrzewski is controlling him.
Rusov is trying to push Zakrzewski away but Zakrzewski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Rusov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rusov shoots for a double leg takedown but Zakrzewski sprawls well. He's pushed Rusov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rusov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zakrzewski tries to avoid it but Rusov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zakrzewski to the ground. Zakrzewski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rusov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zakrzewski's waist but Zakrzewski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rusov off to one side.

Rusov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zakrzewski as he avoids it easily.

Rusov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zakrzewski can't fight it off and eventually Rusov manages to take the fight to the floor. Zakrzewski looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rusov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zakrzewski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rusov throws a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rusov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Horrible takedown attempt by Rusov or perhaps it was just good defense by Zakrzewski, which made it look bad.

Jan Rusov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rusov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
