Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hao Sawamura (ranked 3454 p4p, 3893 weight class) and Calvino Imbembe (ranked 433 p4p, 477 weight class). Imbembe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tarantella napoletana kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Hao Sawamura could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Calvino Imbembe's chin.

With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Calvino Imbembe!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawamura misses with a wild combination.
Imbembe is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Imbembe throws the left hand but Sawamura avoids the punch easily.
A quick step to the side and Sawamura tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Imbembe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sawamura.

Sawamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Imbembe circles away quickly and effectively.
It seemed like Imbembe was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That has opened up Calvino Imbembe's cut even more.

Sawamura takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Sawamura sends Imbembe crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sawamura is motioning to the referee to let Imbembe up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sawamura throws out a loose jab but Imbembe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sawamura stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Imbembe tries to bum rush Sawamura with a series of wild strikes but Sawamura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Imbembe closes the distance but Sawamura moves to the side
and Sawamura scores with a counter punch that sends Imbembe to the canvas! Sawamura smells blood - he's punishing Imbembe with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Imbembe has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hao Sawamura!
