Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennys Martinez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Passwater!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Martinez.
Passwater fails with the takedown.
Passwater blocks the body kick.
Passwater shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martinez sprawls well. Martinez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Passwater gets slowly back to his feet.

Dennys Martinez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dick Passwater.
Passwater tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Martinez swivels and escapes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martinez shoots for a takedown but Passwater saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Passwater darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Martinez is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Martinez has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Passwater is on him like a limpet, forcing Martinez back against the cage.
Passwater breaks from the clinch.
Passwater throws a leg kick but Martinez sees it coming and moves out of range.
It looked like Martinez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Some wild striking there from Martinez.
Passwater misses with a kick to the body.
Martinez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Martinez tries to close the distance and clinch but Passwater swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dennys Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Passwater looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Passwater moves into the clinch successfully.
Passwater breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Martinez throws a series of punches but Passwater moves out of range.
Martinez throws a lazy head kick
and Passwater counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Martinez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Martinez is rocked!
It looks like Dennys Martinez has been cut.
Passwater cracks Martinez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Martinez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Passwater pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Martinez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
