Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antun Simunic (ranked 2675 p4p, 2935 weight class) and Ezio Bonzela Franco (ranked 319 p4p, 345 weight class). Simunic's entrance music is Monster. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simunic dips to his left and cracks Bonzela Franco with an uppercut!
It looks like Ezio Bonzela Franco has been cut.
Bonzela Franco misses with a takedown attempt - Simunic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Simunic wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bonzela Franco is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Simunic throws a right hand that Bonzela Franco ducks under and follows up with a left that Bonzela Franco also avoids with ease.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bonzela Franco has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ezio Bonzela Franco's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ezio Bonzela Franco's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Antun Simunic is the new heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Antun Simunic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
