Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ziggy King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Zdeno Chara!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A punch lands to the side of Chara 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Chara takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chara is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
King misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chara.
Chara misses with a takedown attempt
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chara is trying hard to land a takedown here. King sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chara shoots for a takedown but King saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ziggy King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zdeno Chara.
Chara doesn't succeed with the takedown
and King counters with a nice body shot.
King lands a slapping body shot.
Chara looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chara ducks under a wild hook from King.
Chara throws a wild hook but King just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Chara gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - King raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ziggy King!
